INTRODUCTION : A New Portal for Sensorial Experience
The theme of the Samsung Pavilion at this year’s Fouri Salone in Milano, Italy is Embrace: Sensorial Experience. Upon entering the space you’re met with 36 individual 65 inch SUHD TV displays arrayed into two overlapping rings suspended in mid air. Not just a feast for the eyes but an immersive sensorial experience that only a 360° visual display can give. The infinite colors of SUHD and the totally engrossing images will whisk you away to a surreal dimension. No longer are these merely just screens, but as you step in to the space, a portal to a new and exciting world opens before your very eyes.
As reality merges with imagination a new smart world emerges… Objects seemingly communicate with other objects, systems and platforms interact with one another in what can only be called a symphony of technology – Samsung’s IoT (Internet of Things) design philosophy of building meaningful design is expressed vividly within this space.
SENSORIAL EXPERIENCE : Connect & Integrate: Ring Within a Ring
Two gigantic circles, balancing on each other’s rim move and rotate in unison with the displays placed inside the circumference of the rings. The millions of particles (things) floating in space come together to form a line which then forms a wave. These waves gradually increase in speed as it rotates across the screen until it finally expands in a huge explosion at the cusp of the two arcs – symbolizing the convergence of two worlds where barriers are diminished, new energy is found and our aspirations of an IoT world is realized. A world that Samsung seeks to make a reality through our design philosophy and vision for the future.
FUORI SALONE 2015 : Elaborating on the Samsung Design Approach
Beyond our SUHD TV ‘Ring Within a Ring’ pavilion, three other show displays show Samsung’s SUHD TV design story and philosophy based on diverse lifestyle concepts. Also, in close collaboration with Michelin Red Guide recognized chefs, Samsung offers a premium kitchen Chef Collection that combines our technology with the insights of these world renown innovators of the culinary arts. You can   experience what Samsung has to offer with our TV and home appliances in a European lifestyle setting.
