Artistic Lines of th premium
The Seoul Living Design Fair celebrated its 20th anniversary in March of 2014. To demonstrate Samsung's design message 'Make It Meaningful', Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Division and Visual Display Division created two exhibitions under the theme, "Artistic Lines of the Premium". The two exhibition spaces were created by combining innovative materials with line motifs, allowing users to directly experience Samsung's careful consideration for humans, space, and the premium nature of their products.
The exhibitions were created in collaboration with artists whose work mainly focuses on interpreting spaces, materials, and imagery in new ways. Samsung Home Appliance Division's 'Sensing House' emphasizes the premium aesthetics of the Chef Collection by incorporating a hair line pattern throughout the exhibition. Samsung's Visual Display Division's 'La Curva Perfetta' provides a beautiful three-dimensional immersive experience that utilizes '4200R', an optimal curve radius for the perfect viewing experience of Samsung's Curved UHD TV.

Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Division held an exhibition, 'Sensing House', as a way to demonstrate the value and design philosophy behind their products while experiencing the Chef Collection. Samsung unveiled a new lineup of premium home appliances named Chef Collection, exemplifying Samsung Design's philosophy of deep consideration for the users while also taking insights from some of the world's top professional chefs.
'Sensing House' was not just an exhibition to be seen with your eyes, it was meant to be experienced. Artisan hands created the space using futuristic materials to create a dramatic sense of light. The space featured a hairline pattern made of metal wires that are also found as a motif of the Chef Collection. Sensing lights that react to the user's movements as they entered the space along with analogue lights within the walls connect users to the premium value of the Chef Collection and the exhibition space.

The usability of the analogue touch interface and the product's cutting-edge hidden technology maximizes human sensibility.

'La Curva Perfetta (The Perfect Curve)' was an exhibition that showcased the beautiful rhythm of soft curves while demonstrating '4200R', the innovative technology behind Samsung Curved UHD TV – U9000. A slope of 4200R, or the curve of a circle with a 4.2 meter radius, provides the most immersive experience for a user watching TV from a natural distance of 3-4 meters.
In order to reflect the curvature of the TV, the entire exhibition space was designed as a circular form with a radius of 4,200mm. The curved TVs fit perfectly flush against the centralized curved walls that are connected to mirrored walls, providing a mysterious an immersive experience for viewers as they enter the space. Using beautiful visuals, the exhibition existed as an interactive multimedia installation rather than a direct showcase of the product. Interactive Visualizing was used to invite audiences to interact with the product's immersive screen, creating visual representations using lines and dots that displayed in real-time and offered true audience engagement.

In 2014, Samsung TV's evolved to embrace a revolutionary curved shape, allowing the user to be fully immersed a breathtaking viewing experience. The design allows for comfortable viewing experiences that are free of distortion from any angle. In addition, the curved surface accentuates the new Aero Stand, a metal stand that maximizes the immersive viewing experience by creating the illusion of a floating screen.
