Samsung’s NX mirrorless camera series has inherited the design identity of the NV series which was widely
appreciated for its classic track design, while enhancing its usage and functions.

The button of Samsung Camera NX300 is shown.

Along with the grip, a camera’s button is another crucial element
that affects image quality, as in some cases an image may be blurred
depending on the finger’s angle or intensity when pressing the button.

The NX300 has improved the grip using a thumb rest applied with
rubber double injection. The thumb rest actively enhances the grip
of your thumb, and the video shoot button located on the slope is
placed close enough for your index finger while being designed to
prevent mistake.

The track design of a camera is an important factor that determines its grip and style. NX mirrorless camera series
has inherited the compact track design which was introduced in the Samsung NV series. As the cameras
evolved from NX100 to NX200 and NX300, the track designs transformed from curved into sleek and agile lines.
Hundreds of prototypes were created using 3D printers in order to create the optimum line.

The design of the UI has gradually evolved since NX100 in consideration of how
people operate the Mirrorless Camera with one hand. The menu tab moved from the
top to the left, allowing a minimum touch area. Moreover, the most commonly used
functions were modified to provide easy access.

The NX100 and NX200 featured an LCD display that was fixed to
the body of the camera, but the NX300 introduced an LCD display that
can flip up, giving users more ways to shoot with the mirrorless camera.
With this, users can take pictures at both high and low angles.

A various colors and material of NX300 camera is shown.

The design identity of the NX series stems from the iconic silver
top and black pattern used in classic cameras. To create the silver top,
NX100 used matte solid coated polycarbonate while NX200
incorporated sanding and anodizing on real aluminum material.

For the NX300, aluminum was used to cover the top while featuring a
leather pattern body to enhance the "retro" look and feel. In addition to
the basic black body, white, brown, and the special limited edition for Saudi
Arabian was offered in plate gold color.
