Visual communication designers establish product visual strategies to ensure that the Samsung brand is adored by consumers. They design contents with customer touchpoints, such as packages, prints, and videos, suitable for various online and offline channels, including exhibitions and stores.
Based on the understanding of various product and brand marketing strategies of Samsung Electronics, we establish internal and external communication procedures and develop consistent visual identity systems for the media.
By developing visual elements such as typography, motion graphics, and illustration and distributing them to various media, we design an integrated brand experience. Become a brand loyalty professional who communicates globally in visual language by perceiving the rapid development in communication channels and content styles based on societal changes.

Taegyu KimDesign Team, Visual Display Business
Visual communication designers aim for creative and effective internal and external communication. They arrange a visual design strategy to effectively demonstrate a product through various media, while supervising content based on the characteristics of each medium. Starting with visual identity, it reflects other productions such as video, editing, packaging, exhibition, and photography. I am currently in charge of the overall lifestyle product line.
Most of my colleagues in the same department are visual design majors. Since this task requires an integrated solution rather than a specific scope, most people involved have expertise. The departments we cooperate with include marketing, product planning, and interaction design.
The Samsung TV retail store project, in which we collaborated with a retail group, was the most memorable. By managing the display section of the lifestyle product line, we effectively expressed the properties of products with different features while maintaining harmony as a category. This project was a good example for successful application of the visual identity system, which was produced by the team. Numerous positive feedbacks were received due to significant results of increasing external sales.
Although it may sound cliché, I believe it is important to crave new things, challenge yourself, and enjoy. Particularly, design is one of those jobs where you must be wary of becoming too adjusted or taking for granted. I prefer people who discover new things while enjoying themselves.
Since the work process in the department includes deriving an integrated solution, I believe organic and comprehensive senses are more important than design abilities confined to one area. Many design-related experiences and observations can act as seeds for design both internally and externally, and they will be helpful in future work.
