The display is larger and the boundaries are thinner. The screen fills up from the inside out. The Cover Screen is 6.2 inches and the Main Screen extends as far as 7.6 inches when opened. Its size is similar to a normal smartphone when folded but can extend as wide as the display of a small tablet. The even thinner bezel and the notch-less Infinity-O display maximize immersion for users to fully enjoy the privileges of a bigger screen.

The range of experiences has grown along with the larger display. The Cover Screen now has a size comparable to an ordinary smartphone, allowing users to do much more even in a folded state. The larger Cover Screen makes it easier to carry out tasks like watching contents, taking pictures, or quickly replying to messages even when folded. The unfolded Main Screen is handy both when viewing and recording videos or photos.

The various ways to partition the Main Screen help users complete multiple tasks seamlessly. You can easily attach photos by dragging it from one partitioned screen to another when texting with a friend. A newly introduced function even lets you use a single app on multiple different windows. You can load a news article with the internet browser on one window and open a new browser in another to look up information based on the article. In addition, the divider now allows you to save the current split screen configuration to the Edge panel as an App Pair so you don’t need to go through the hassle of setting partitions each time.

When taking pictures or recording videos with the top view, the screen can be flexibly folded to meet your eye level and show a preview of the recording, giving you a wider field of vision for a much more comfortable experience.

Freedom of Behavior

You can use the Aramid Standing Cover as a stand to keep the screen open and enjoy a wider view and usability of the screen. With Flex mode, the Main Screen will be automatically split into two sections, so you can see contents on the top half and control it on the bottom half. Furthermore, the Galaxy Z Fold2 can be also held upright when folded, freeing your hands to do other. You have total freedom and flexibility to multi-task, such as watching videos in the folded position or leaving notes through the partitioned screen during a video call. * Flex mode is only supported on compatible apps.
